✍️ Paul, Unscripted
A note from Paul, in his own words.
Hello and happy 2026!
Welcome to the first issue of my newsletter. Over the years, many of you have asked, “How can I hear about your upcoming performance schedule?”, “How do I get tickets to your next show?”, and “Have you finished Stranger Things yet?” (Sadly, the answer to that last question is still “no,” so keep your spoilers to yourself!)
Starting this month, I hope this newsletter can offer a bit of inside intel. I’ll share updates on theatrical productions currently underway, along with the information you need to come see them. This felt like the most approachable way to stay in touch—although let it be known I still very much enjoy corresponding with you via email.
I had a very gratifying year in the arts, on both stages and screens, and 2026 is already shaping up to be just as fulfilling. I see art as a tool for connection; may this newsletter be an extension of that idea.
Peace and love,
Paul

Wait Until Dark at Greater Boston Stage Company
📽️ Cinephiles, rejoice: Paul’s first show of 2026 is Wait Until Dark—the stage version of the classic 1967 mystery-thriller originally brought to the screen by Audrey Hepburn and Alan Arkin.
🌙 About the show: Set in 1944 Greenwich Village, the story traps a blind woman in her own apartment with three men who think they have the advantage. They don’t.
🖤 In his villain era: In a departure from his more comedic roles, Paul plays Harry Roat: calm, calculating, and quietly sadistic, a villain who enjoys the game as much as the outcome.
📍 When and where: Running March 6–22 at Greater Boston Stage Company. Don’t wait until dark to get your tickets—grab them now.

Press mentions and recent highlights—standing ovations optional.
2025 marked a banner year for Paul, with roles in four productions: The Play That Goes Wrong (Greater Boston Stage Company), The Garbologists (Gloucester Stage Company), Featherbaby (Greater Boston Stage Company), and A Sherlock Carol (Lyric Stage Boston).
His work across these shows earned year-end recognition from the Boston theater community:
🎭 Artists who defined the year: Critic Chris Ehlers included Paul in his list The Theater Artists of 2025, a curated selection of ten creatives whose work helped define the year on Boston stages.
The Garbologists also made Ehlers’ list The 25 Best Productions of 2025, coming in at #14 in what Ehlers considered “one of the year’s most affecting two-handers.”
🦜 Taking flight: Paul’s work in Featherbaby was a standout, earning mentions in the top 10 productions of the year for both Mike Hoban and Michele Markarian of Theater Mirror. For Hoban, Paul was “born to play the role” of Featherbaby, and Markarian agreed, describing Paul as “nothing short of brilliant.”
🤑 Auto-buy actors: Paul was also named one of Booked & Scene’s Curtain Call Crownings: Auto-Buy Actors for 2025, recognizing performers whose involvement alone makes a production worth seeing.
Paul is deeply grateful to the directors, designers, collaborators, and audiences who made the year what it was.
If you know someone who might enjoy this, feel free to pass it along.
Curtain down. Thanks for being here.
